News for 2011

The Dover Western Heights Preservation Society would like to announce their second Open Weekend of 2011, which will take place on 22nd and 23rd October. The Drop Redoubt will be open to visitors again, as will the Grand Shaft. Re-enactors will be on site to make the weekend come alive before we have to close the drop Redoubt for the winter.

Entrance fees for the Drop Redoubt are £3 per adult and £1 for accompanied children. There is no fee for the Grand Shaft.

Members Area

Don’t forget to renew your membership!!

Your support is crucial to us to enable us to continue our preservation work.  Your £5 a year helps us to purchase tools and equipment to help with our clearance work; to buy panels and boards to help us with our interpretation work and public presentations and to help us to raise the profile of the Western Heights.

The way we arrange the collection of subscriptions has changed; all subscriptions are now due by 1st January each year.  If we have not received your subscription after this date we will assume that you no longer wish to be a member of the society and we will remove you from our membership list.  For members who pay by direct debit, you do not need to do anything; your subscription will be collected as normal.

Once we have received your subscription we will send you a new membership card.  We hope that you do decide to continue your membership of the Western Heights Preservation Society – you are helping to make a difference!

Any queries relating to membership issues should be directed to our Membership Secretary, Barry Stewart. Please click on the link:
